This year, state support for our vital work has been cut by 30%. We urgently need your help to raise €160,000 to maintain our essential services.

2012 The year for Exercise, Sport and Fitness

In 2012 the Asthma Society of Ireland is preparing to launch a National awareness and fundraising campaign that will focus on exercise, sport & fitness.

National Asthma Management Education Programme

The Asthma Education Programme has been developed for healthcare professionals to provide them with the knowledge to manage the care asthma patients receive in line with international best practice.

Asthma Society of Ireland Health Information Days in 2012

We will hold a number of patient information events in 2012, helping to provide education and support to Irish asthma patients and their families, and promoting our message of asthma control.

Salt cave therapy has been advertised as a complimentary or alternative treatment for asthma. However, there is currently very little evidence on the effects or benefits of this therapy.
