National Asthma Management Education Programme

The Asthma Education Programme has been developed for healthcare professionals to provide them with the knowledge to manage the care asthma patients receive in line with international best practice.

Asthma Society of Ireland Health Information Days in 2012

We will hold a number of patient information events in 2012, helping to provide education and support to Irish asthma patients and their families, and promoting our message of asthma control.


Information on Salt Cave Therapy and Asthma

Salt cave therapy has been advertised as a complimentary or alternative treatment for asthma. However, there is currently very little evidence on the effects or benefits of this therapy.

The first National Asthma Clinic event in 2012 took place in Dundalk on 18th February and we had a really high turnout.  Patients came from all over Louth, Meath and Monaghan and we got great feedback on the day.
