Review of submissions will be guided by the following;

Research should have a clear, practical, patient focus
Work should address everyday nursing issues focussing on asthma
Research applicable to day-to-day practice of the management of a patient with asthma.
Research should reflect the concerns/issues encountered by the carer/parents/asthma sufferer

To conclude "out of small acorns great oak trees grow" - therefore a small relevant project to one person could make an enormous impact on many. (Louise Maher, Asthma Society Board Member)

At present a lot of research is being carried out by respiratory and practice nurses. Dissemination of this work would benefit all involved in asthma management. (Frances Guiney, Asthma Society Nurse Specialist)

The reason for this research is for recognition of the importance of the role of the nurse in the management of asthma.
