Mags Corbett Trust presents Asthma Society with 2009 Golf Classic Proceeds

The Asthma Society of Ireland has been presented with €16,000 from the Mags Corbett Trust. The €16,000 was the proceeds raised from the 2008 Annual Golf Classic in Ballykisseen Golf Club.

Once again this year the Mags Corbett Golf Classic was a tremendous success. The winning team were Paul Dillon, Mark Birmingham and Mike Birmingham. One hundred and fifty people attended the raffle in the Four Elms pub which was a huge success also.

Jason Corbett and the Asthma Society would to thank most sincerely all those who participated. A special thanks to the staff at "Chesapeake" Limerick, to Peak Properties Limerick, who made a substantial contribution to the Mags Corbett Golf Classic, to Day Dreams Crèche in Limerick, to Lynn Shanahan, to Morgan Fogarty, to Liam Tyan and all those who helped out on the 9th hole with refreshments and all those who helped with the Mags Corbett Golf Classic raffle.

To celebrate the life of his wife, Mags Corbett, who tragically passed away in 2006 from an asthma attack, Jason Corbett organised the 2007 and 2008 "Mags Corbett Golf Classic" at the Ballykisteen Golf Club in County Tipperary in aid of the Asthma Society of Ireland.  This event raised an incredible €34,145.00 in total for the Asthma Society of Ireland.  In 2008 the Asthma Society's new "Asthma in Pregnancy"  information booklet was developed with the support of the Mags Corbett Trust.  The Asthma Society would like to give our warmest thanks to Jason Corbett for organizing the event, to Lynn Shanahan of Daydreams crèche, Limerick and all those who were involved in the Mags Corbett Golf Classic.
