Dyson and the Asthma Society of Ireland
(ASI) have stepped up their campaign to tackle the problem
of asthma in Ireland; where there are almost half a million
sufferers - that's one in eight people in Ireland. Together,
Dyson and the ASI, aim to increase awareness of asthma
and allergies in Ireland whilst raising funds for research.
Dr
Jean Holohan, CEO of the ASI said, "Dyson's contribution
will provide the Asthma Society with the much needed
means to support its research and educational programmes.
Ongoing research into asthma and allergies in this country
is essential, especially as Ireland has the fourth highest
prevalence of asthma worldwide".
Now the dreaded allergy
season is upon us it is important that we keep our houses
free from pollen and dust. Dyson is set to help sufferers
by promoting both the Dyson DC19 Allergy and DC20 Allergy
models in store during May. With €50 off DC19 Allergy
and €100 off DC20 Allergy, consumers are making
great savings as well as helping to raise funds for the
Asthma Society of Ireland. Proceeds from the sale of
these models during the promotional period will be donated
to the Asthma Society of Ireland.

SERVICE.

Service which can be found on www.irishhealth.com
The
Irishhealth.com pollen and airborne allergen forecasts
use data provided by the UK National Pollen and Aerobiology
Research Unit's Network.
These forecasts can assist people who suffer from asthma
and allergic rhinitis to plan their activities. The forecasting
service provides an index of the risk of being affected
by airborne allergic pollens.
