Board Member and Chair of Finance Committee Vacancy
The Asthma Society of Ireland is seeking to fill a vacant position as a member of its Board of Directors and Chair of its Finance Committee.
The Asthma Society has firmly established itself as a professional patient-centred organisation and as a key partner for the HSE and the healthcare sector in delivering better support to people with asthma. In the coming years, the focus of our strategy is to build on these strong foundations to broaden the organisation's reach and impact. In particular, our aim is to improve education and awareness of good asthma management among people with asthma and the general public.
Due to rotation we now have a vacant position on our Board of Directors. We are seeking someone with accountancy or finance experience who can also Chair our Finance Sub-Committee. You will join a team of very committed and enthusiastic people who are focused on delivering best care for people with asthma. We require a minimum commitment of 12 months. You will be asked to attend 9-10 monthly board meetings (Dublin city centre based and 2 hours long) and to provide additional support on an ad hoc basis as required. If you have the financial or accounting skills and experience that can assist the Board, have an interest in healthcare organisations in general or asthma in particular and would like to be part of an enthusiastic and growing organisation we would be interested in hearing from you.
