Life without limits - Fiona Christy, Dublin

I was diagnosed with asthma in my early twenties.
I had a full time job and two young children so life was quite
difficult. Between the cost of the medication and trying to
find the right combination I had numerous quite serious attacks,
resulting in a few hospital stays. I found I avoided doing
certain things or going certain places.
All that has changed and is behind me now.
After my last hospital stay a couple of years ago, all my medication
was changed and at last I can live my life to the full and
without limits. I never thought that at the age of 42 I would
be jumping out of a plane at 14,000 feet and skydiving over
the sunshine coast of Australia.
I entered the competition to show people
what is possible with asthma. Last year I did the mini marathon
with my daughter(who also has asthma) and I regularly go to
the gym. Persevere; find the right medication, stick with it
and the sky is the limit!
