Life without limits -  Ronan O'Gara

No Limits

Irish Rugby Union player, Ronan O'Gara was diagnosed with asthma as a child. Speaking about growing up with asthma on the Asthma Society of Ireland's "Reach Your Peak with Asthma" DVD, Ronan said "Asthma has always been an issue in my life, especially growing up, from the ages of six to twelve, it was a big part of my life."

Ronan O'Gara has a hugely successful rugby career. He was selected for his first Irish International cap in the Six Nations Championship against Scotland in February 2000. He scored a Six Nations record 30 points against Italy and a record equalizing 10 conversions against Japan. He is Ireland's and European Cup Competition's record points scorer and he finished as top scorer in the 2005 and 2006 Six Nations Competition. Ronan was selected for two British and Irish Lions tours: 2001, Australia and 2005, New Zealand - one test cap. In 2006 Ronan won a European Cup medal with Munster and a Triple Crown success with Ireland.

Ronan's career proves you can "reach your peak with asthma" . In his own words, "I think the more sport you play the healthier you become, which in the long run benefits your asthma." His achievements show he lives his Life Without Limits!
